Golding complains

This is the image that the Golding Group complained about. I believe that the complaint itself will cause the damage that they are fearing!

I do not agree with Gallery director Kirsty Cockerill when she says "...protect our artists from the bullying of large corporates..." (ST May 23, 2010). As I see it, it is just a company with a fine reputation trying to protect their good public image.

This is a freedom of expression debate as it clashes with the private self interests of a person (company). I wonder who will win this one...

Coming to think of it - one solution would have been for PG to have just bought the image - then they could do with it what they want and perhaps even prohibit the reproduction thereof (can they? - don't know) Any comments?
